Mission: Prelude

Day: 2

Stardate: 2446.03.24


(USS Illuminar - Deck 1 - Bridge - CSec/Tac - Lt. Commander T’Mur - 1303)


As she suspected, her comprehension of his words required a near UT program for her.  She had to wade through his words to decipher what he had said.


“You have a history in shovels, Ensign?” she said. “That is not in your record.  I should probably add that.  And I agree that this would be a much better course of action.”


Suddenly he reached into his fur coat,  "So, as a show'a good faith…" He pulled out a bladed weapon with a 17 cm long blade, that had a grip with handle that would cover his knuckles, making it easier to hold onto, and perhaps even use as a striking weapon.


"Cap'n's orders were to hand over one weapon,” Vermyx said. “Singular. He was very specific. But I can't imagine he'd want me walkin' around with that pig-sticker if he'd known about it."


The words were starting to make sense, somewhat, but she could not quite make out the references.  “I appreciate your show of faith, but why would you want to stick a pig with such a blade?  Even for a person with a history with shovels would not need such a weapon to deal with swine.  You would, most likely, just strike them with your spade.”
