“I will secure your weapon for you, Mr. Vermyx,” LCDR T'Mur said after
inspecting the Iotian's weapon.  “I have been looking at your file and
considering your … history, I believe that we are all best served that you
only have access to the weapon if you need it.  And I do mean _need_ it.”

"History, huh? Yeah, I got that in spades. Gonna make more of it, y'know.
Just in a good way this time." Vermyx grinned very broadly. "So, as a
show'a good faith…" Vermyx reached into his tribble-fur coat and produce
what could only be described as a "trench knife" with brass knuckles as a
grip. "Cap'n's orders were to hand over one weapon. Singular. He was very
specific. But I can't imagine he'd want me walkin' around with that
pig-sticker if he'd known about it."
