“My name is not Toots. As far as I am aware we do not have a crewman Toots
on board. My name is Lt. Commander T’Mur, and you may address me as such,"
said the LCDR, who then paused briefly before adding, "I am uncertain as to
why you would wish to… wag your chin with the captain’s “brass hat”, which
I am doubtful of it being an object he possessed. However, I will inform
Captain Sekal of your wish to see him.” She tapped her combadge.  “Captain
Sekal, there is a …” she looked at the PADD he had handed her, ”Ensign Dano
Vermyx? here to see you sir. He has his transfer orders.” To Vermyx T'Mur
added, “The Captain’s Ready Room is right there. He is expecting you. Go
right in.”

"Right-O, Lt. Cmdr..." Dano very briefly considered saying Toots again but
instead used the superior officer's proper name. "… T'Mur."

Vermyx sauntered somewhat casually toward the Ready Room door and rang the
doorchime but didn't wait to be acknowledged since the Lieutenant Commander
had said, "Go right in."
