(USS Illuminar - Deck 1 - Bridge - CSec/Tac - Lt. Commander T’Mur - 1248)


T’Mur tilted her head as she pondered his question on resting hard. It was not logical since one did not rest easy or hard, one simply rested. As she listened to his statements she realized that the problem was not with the UT. He was speaking federation standard, but his lexicon was one that she had never encountered before. It was as if his entire vocabulary consisted of slang terms. It was almost as difficult as comprehending Dr. Teller.


“My name,” she said with a raised eyebrow, “is not Toots. As far as I am aware we do not have a crewman Toots on board. My name is Lt. Commander T’Mur, and you may address me as such.”


She looked at him more carefully. “Freshly minted?”  He did not appear to have been newly created. As far as she could tell he was not an Android. How could he have been freshly created.


“I am uncertain as to why you would wish to… wag your chin with the captain’s “brass hat”, which I am doubtful of it being an object he possessed. However, I will inform Captain Sekal of your wish to see him.”


She tapped her comm badge.  “Captain Sekal, there is a …” she looked at the PADD he had handed her, ”Ensign Dano Vermyx? here to see you sir. He has his transfer orders.”

“The Captain’s Ready Room is right there,” she said, indicating a door at the side of the bridge. “He is expecting you. Go right in.”
