ILLUMINARRPG: (1-1143)- Vice-Admiral Salek and CO, Captain Sekal

NRPG: Frank may or may not remember this character, my original. I dropped
the silent "e" at the end of his name lately because it twists the
pronunciation of his name, everyone seems to get caught by it.

Mission: Prelude
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.03.23

   (Earth - San Francisco- StarFleet Headquarters -  Vice-Admiral Salek and
CO, Captain Sekal - 1143)

"Admiral Salek, Captain Sekal and Commander Sienna Williams- Verin from an
alternate Universe."

The Admiral had only recently returned from Trill via the USS Republic
which as the Fleet flagship had ferried quite a number of dignitaries,
admirals, ambassadors and the like. He was at the end of a three day leave
and had only come to his office on Earth due to this.

When the Illuminar had entered the Maelstrom and calls to it had gone
unanswered for two weeks there had been some alarm and to put it bluntly he
had been a bit distracted by it. News of its imminent return had lifted a
weight from his shoulders. His coat was draped over the back of the chair
behind his desk, a desk he rarely used since he spent most of his time at
Mars where the research he was overseeing was ongoing.

He nodded at his son as he entered. "Captain."

"Admiral." Sekal dipped his head in greeting as Salek looked to the other
who had entered with him.

Sienna Williams-Verin from the Mirror Universe, the one the others had
taken to calling Giovanna in order to keep their identities separate and
distinct as well as to avoid confusion between her and the First Officer of
the ship.

His eyes flicked to the Klingon who had stopped just inside the door and
was awaiting orders.

"I do not believe your presence necessary Lieutenant...."

"Galk." The man rumbled. "I will wait outside Captain."

At Sekal's nod he stepped through the door where he would be keeping
watch... and be available if needed.

Salek gestured to a chair. "Commander Verin, your presence in our universe
comes as somewhat of a ... surprise. The Captain believes you have a number
of skills which I might find useful."

(Reply: Giovanna)

"Noted. I have been told you have no wish to return to your own universe
due to having outlaw status there as well as other concerns. The question
is if you would be willing to assist us in research and development with
minimal supervision."
