She answered T'Mur's question with some retrospection.
"I want to go through the Rite to keep my Klingon heritage up to be well rounded if I ever get in a command position.  The completion of the Rite will give me an advantage in a confrontation of any kind.  I also want to complete the Rite to balance my Betazoid side and my Klingon side mentally and emotionally.  I will see how I feel after the Rite is completed."
