“Lieutenant Commander T'Mur, they seem to have salads, some without any animal flesh, so you can hopefully find something that is palatable,” Pex said looking at a holographic copy of the menu.  “I hope it isn't offensive if we eat meat?"


T’Mur shook her head causing her ponytail to wave back and forth. “It does not offend me that others consume meat, Mr. Pex. It is simply that my body does not digest most meats adequately. And we are off duty, so may we dispense with the rank titles?”

She saw Trei pouring over the menu now and she explained,  "There is an egg salad option, there is an egg lettuce and tomato option, and a straight veggie option along with the coleslaw and French Fries.  Which one would you like to order?"


T’Mur raised an eyebrow. Although she has consumed eggs with Sienna they still have a meat sense to them. Sienna had expressed several times that they were not considered meat until they fully matured into whatever animals they would become, for example chickens, so they did not count as a meat. But in T’Mur’s mind that was purely a matter of timing. At best she would consider them as… pre-meat. She could not imagine it being acceptable to consume human embryos.


“I believe that I will have … veggie option?  I have seen these French fries before. I understand that they are fried potatoes, but do the potatoes come from France?  How do they become French ?”
