ILLUMINARRPG: (1 - 1258) ACEO Ensign Tegian Pex

Mission:  An End and A Beginning

(USS Illuminar - Deck 5 - Sick Bay - ACEO Ensign Tegian Pex - 1258)

Tegian relaxed a bit, noting that he wasn't going to get yelled at for
holding to his morals.  That was positive.  He was still nearly out on his
feet having gotten very little sleep the previous night, having spent it
next to T'shalaith's bed.

"My Mother is Misia Pimox, a high ranking diplomatic minister.  She's been
instrumental in Trill rejoining the Federation, although she didn't wish me
to join Starfleet.  She had hoped to post me on Freedom when I didn't want
to stay on the planet."

"The one thing you should know above all is that we revere our symbionts.
The host is there as a vessel for the symbiont.  We share our experiences
together.  If the host isn't a viable for the symbiont, that's paramount.
The symbiont must continue to live it's full span.  To lose one is a great
loss for our civilization.  And to be selected to host a symbiont is an
honor you can't imagine."

Tegian sighed heavily.  "And, yes, you've put me in a very awkward
position.  If I wasn't already dealing with a crisis, I would drop
everything to deal with this one.  I hope you're all aware that Trill would
leave the Federation over this."

Tegian nodded in relief when he realized that he could took to the
Captain.  "I am greatly relieved to know that the Captain is aware of this,
Commander.  I know that all of you on the Rhyne had a harrowing year, but
this is too big a secret to keep to yourselves now that you're back in this
universe."

"Can you explain why Pel was put in Leeza?  I presume the previous host was
dying.  Is Pel from our universe or the mirror universe?  And, no, not all
the symbionts know each other, if that was going to be your question."

"I don't know the Ambassador, but I will speak to the Captain, first.  I
need to first make sure T'shalaith gets help and then I will talk to the
Captain about this situation."  Tegian shook his head.  "I've done precious
little in Engineering since yesterday.  And my lunch break is almost done.
I had best get back to Main Engineering before I'm missed."

"Commander, I will need to talk to Leeza Pel at some point.  I need to talk
to Pel because whatever Pel wants is what will be what I must do."
