(USS Illuminar - Deck 5 - Sick Bay - 2/O&COps CMDR Dieter Gregory -1248)

Gregory sat up in his bed as the ensign entered. "Commander Gregory, 
Ensign Tegian Pex, Reporting as ordered."

"At ease, Ensign. Unfortunately I didn't get to know you before I was 
lost on the Rhyne, so I didn't have time to get to know you first.  So 
not time like the present.  Since I don't know you, I am going to go out 
an a limb and trust you."

(Tegian)

"First, tell me a bit about the joining process between Trill and 
symbiont," he asked

"Do you know anyone on Trill versed in Trill law?"

(Tegian)

"Thank you.  Now I am going to tell you something confidential.  I need 
to tell you because you are a joined Trill.  I am trusting you with this 
information, and on your oath as a Star Fleet officer.  You will not 
share this information with anyone unless you have clearance from 
Michael Weston or myself.  There may be others, but for now we keep this 
close hold.  Do you understand?"

(Tegian)

"Very good.  The young girl, Leeza Pel, that we brought over form the 
Rhyne, she carries a symbiont in her.  There is not joining, as we 
understand it.  Only a few people know this secret, and you are one 
more.   Our stated goal is that we will not sacrifice the life of Leeza 
to they symbiosis commission, who we think will want to take her from 
us, and retrieve the symbiont."

"This is sensitive information, and I ask you, if you are uncomfortable 
or unwilling to help us, if needed, that you tell me now and forget this 
conversation occured."  Gregory looked hard at the young Trill.
