ILLUMINARRPG: (09 - 1411) Pilot Ensign Vic 'Raid' Montero

(USS Edmund Hillary - Cockpit - Pilot Vic 'Raid' Montero - 1411)

Word travels fast when the Captain is  forcibly taken off the bridge by 
unknown forces.  Word travels even faster when there is a scattering 
field that is interfering with transporter operations.  It remained 
tough to have a true battle station on a ship with no fighters, but 
Montero remembered the last encounter the Illuminar had with villains, 
and the Commander had sent him to the Hillary, so he grabbed Gunsmoke 
and the two headed to the Hillary.

The two began the preflight check, making sure everything was powered up 
and ready to go.  It was a shame that the Hillary wasn't always ready 
for action.  However, that would take extra crew and was a waste unless 
there was a real need. He would have to talk to Grey Wolf about some 
ideas to ensure they had this ace in the hole when needed.

"All systems show green.  We are set." Montero said

"Confirmed," replied Gunsmoke.

Montero tapped his comm badge, "Hillary to bridge.  We are green on our 
boards and ready to launch at your command"
