(USS Illuminar - Deck 2 - Personal Quarters - Lt (jg) T’Mur- 0700)

By the time T’Mur had found Ensign Contreras and made sure that he was on shift for Alpha watch, T’Mur had come back to their quarters to find Sienna asleep in her uniform. She was relieved that her mate had finally succumbed to her fatigue.

She sat in the comfortable arm chair and pulled her legs under her to watch Sienna sleep. It was becoming a favored activity as she slept with a fascinating rhythm. She slept the way she did everything else, with passion. It was an intriguing prospect being able sleep with passion. She puts so much of herself into everything she does.

T’Mur knew that she would have had an emotional connection with Sienna even if they hadn’t bonded. She was the first person who had shown her Any kindness and compassion. She had had “friends” at the academy. Roommates who had tried to include her in parts of their lives. But inevitably it would fall short, mostly due to her disconnection. She seemed more distant than other Vulcans they had met.

Sienna had allowed T’Mur to become the person she should have been her whole life. There was no blame involved with that statement. The circumstances of her life brought her to where she was now, and that was the logical place for her to be.

Sienna sighed in her sleep, perhaps sensing the contentment of her mate through their connection. The last few months had been a whirlwind. After her treatment Sienna had appeared to make T’Mur her project. They spent much of their free time together. T’Mur had become “a fan” of Sienna’s music and became aware that the woman sang at almost a moments notice. The woman had a musical quality about her.

They became friends as much as lovers. T’Mur could still feel that sense of removal and detachment, and found herself desiring to not have it. But logic and a life of denial was difficult to overcome. Until she realized that her biological clock had been altered by her treatment. Now T’Mur would have difficulty contemplating a life with her bond mate.

Just now she is coming to the understanding that logic and emotions are not mutually exclusive. Logic dictates the lack of emotional influence in decisions. However, it does no preclude having emotions. She imagined how deep Sekal’s feelings actually went and wondered how he managed to be away from his bond mate for a long period of time. Perhaps it was the reason to have a cat.

She looked over Sienna once again, sensing the rhythmic pattern of her breathing and stopped herself from laying down and snuggling into her. T’Mur knew the action would wake her and Sienna would desire to stay awake. She would want to talk, to touch, to feel. She needed to rest. And it was adequate for T’Mur to simply be with her.

It gave her time to consider the words of Sekal regarding Quinna and Weston. If they wanted to help Quinna it was probably best that they not interfere. Sienna would not be able to help herself. So it would be up to T’Mur to divert her from the path that the duo were taking as much as possible. This would be a hazardous undertaking but one that logical must be taken. Quinna must be under direction from Weston to seperate herself from her friends. It was best not to have her deviate from that plan, or make it more difficult on her.

So T’Mur sat and … took pleasure in the show of her mate sleeping.
