(USS Illuminar - Deck 1 - Bridge - CO- Captain Sekal - 1000)

The Captain was seated in the command chair oblivious in a way to the
excitement that was permeating the bridge. He could not overlook the low
buzz of whispered conversation and heightened monitoring of data streams
and viewscreens that was occurring as they neared the system. The main
sequence star was growing perceptibly on the main screen from a tiny point
of light when Tempest Grey Wolf's voice broke the tension. "Approaching the
Sigma Draconis system sir."

"Decrease speed to warp three Lieutenant and plot a course for the sixth
planet. Decelerate to warp one once we have penetrated the system."

"Aye sir, slowing to warp three."

The volume of the engines began decreasing rapidly as he turned to the
science station. "Mr. Winters what do we know of Sigma Draconis VI?"

Sky began bringing up the data while mentally kicking himself for not
having a presentation already ready. "Diameter 13,143 kilometers, earth
normal gravity, oxygen/nitrogen at 21/78 so class M, earth type atmosphere.
A world locked in an ice age since before its discovery by the Enterprise
under Captain James T Kirk. Mean surface temperature a maximum of 40c at
the equator to -30c at the poles. It has an Elliptical orbit and is now at
perihelion. The natives are known as Morg and Eymorg and are the devolved
descendants of a highly technological civilization. The equatorial band is
the only known habitable portion on the planet. Their ancestors used ion
power and maintained habitations underground. Captain Kirk forced a
restructuring of their society and they have returned to the surface. The
planet has a single moon. Traces of ion power generation on the planet are
to be expected."

Sekal turned back to the screen as he considered. "Scan for any other
activity in the system including energy readings and keep me updated along
with scans of the planet itself. Place a priority on any energy sources
that are not generating ion readings."

He turned his head to the left. "Tactical verify readiness of weapons and
shields."

(Reply: Tactical)

"Operations have the reconfiguration of the navigational deflector and
repolarization of the hull standing by and monitor all bandwidths for any
communication signals within the system."

(Reply: Ops)

He brought up the pop-up viewscreen then hit the shipwide comm. "We are
entering the Sigma Draconis system, all departments at readiness. Security
stand by for orders once we reach planet six."
