"Roger that," Tycho tapped the console, having just completed his
diagnostics. Good thing they could be done without shutting down the
system itself, or he'd have an angry lineup of taxi passengers
knocking at his door sooner than later.

Smoothly manipulating the controls, it wasn't long before the
sparkling transport stream was whining into existence. He noted the
slight shift in tone and visual colour spectrum that had resulted from
his fixes and updates, it was always a fascinating thing to watch how
a specific ship's beam quality started to reflect the crew that
maintained and handled the transporter controls.

Tycho completed the transport and said, "Welcome aboard the Illuminar,
sirs, I'm Ensign Tycho Alantar, Engineering." He didn't stiffen to
formal attention, but his body did a reflexive small bow in the
Japanese Earth style before he extended a hand.
