(Vulcan - ShiKahr- Luxury Suites- Lobby Café- Davelahn – 1910)


Quinna answered back in Vulcan.  She had taken the time to learn the language so she would not have to rely on her universal translator, “Ni irak, wuh sadvun t' t'nash-veh sightseeing vinan-tor nash hotel heh wuh hasuk svitan. Tonk'peh yi i am la' na' ar'kadan, ri wuh vacation.” (Translation:  So far, the extent of my sightseeing includes this hotel and the medical center.  But then I am here for work, not a vacation.)



Davelahn raised an eyebrow at the human speaking in Vulcan. The Universal Translator made it unnecessary however this Quinna felt it necessary to speak it. She had made an adequate attempt, and he acknowledged her effort.


“Indeed,” he said, “you speak Vulcan well, although your accent is a little strange."



“Sorry, I feel it is important to learn a bit of the language of the culture in which I am a guest.”  Quinna adjusted herself, “So you say you are a merchant or did you say you were on a mission?  Sounds interesting.”



Davelahn shrugged his shoulders, “Not as interesting as coming to Vulcan to only visit a medical center.  You are here on your own mission?  A medical mission?  You seem healthy enough, I must assume your mission is one of your crewmen.  Might I inquire of the nature of this mission?”
