ILLUMINARRPG: (3 - 1611) Counselor - Ensign (jg) Reea

(Vulcan - Botanical Gardens - Counselor Ensign jg Reea - 1611)

Wearing civilian clothes; a white, short-sleeved, button-down blouse, khaki capris, tennis shoes, and donning a pair of sunglasses, Reea beamed down to Vulcan. With a PADD on her hip and a tricorder in hand, she charged forth on her mission.

This was Reea's first time on the Vulcan home world. She knew it was hot, but it wasn't so bad for her. Ferenginar had rain almost everyday, so the water in the air made it humid and tropical in some regions, though it was cool in others. She didn't mind either.

Standing at a large, pink flower that resembled an Earth carnation, Reea carefully scanned it. Smiling, she uploaded the results to her PADD. She was about to move to the next plant, when she heard someone approaching. Looking in that direction, she saw two children. They stopped when they noticed her.

Both were girls that looked to be about twelve or thirteen. One was a Vulcan, the other Andorian. The Andorian whispered to the Vulcan.

"I didn't know there were Andorians on Vulcan," said Reea. She smiled.

The Andorian girl was surprised.

"Ferengi hearing is acute," said the Vulcan girl.

"I'm one of the crew of the Illuminar."

"A Ferengi in Starfleet?" said the Andorian.

"There are a few. I'm Reea."

"I am T'Lov. My friend is Shola."

"It's nice to meet you," said Reea.

"What are you doing?" said Shola. "We saw you scanning the flowers. Are you a botanist?"

Reea decided she would tell the girls what she was doing. Why not?

"I'm looking for new varieties of food."

"Bugs?" said Shola. She wrinkled her nose.

"Yes," said Reea.

"That is normal food for a Ferengi," said T'Lov.

"I suppose," said Shola, "but they're icky."

Reea turned off her tricorder and sat on a nearby bench, motioning for the girls to join her. T'Lov sat next to Reea, but Shola sat cross-legged on the ground.

"Tell me what it's like living here on Vulcan," said Reea. "What do you do to have fun?"
