(USS Illuminar - Counselor Ensign jg Reea - 1522)

Since coming on board the Illuminar, Reea had been busy, putting in double shifts most days. To start, she was assigned quarters and began settling in, but she hadn't unpacked her belongings or done any decorating yet. Time for that later.

Ariel wanted to share an office, so Reea had to get together with the operations department for her needs. A sturdy desk and a comfortable chair were first. It took time for her to find just the right place for them. The crewmen moving them four times didn't say anything, but she could see they were getting frustrated. Inwardly, she found it to be humorous.

A computer terminal, PADDs, and miscellaneous office supplies, and Reea was ready for business. All they needed was for Ariel to make arrangements to have holo emitters installed. Things were looking good.

Most of Reea's work was spent reading the Illuminar mission logs and medical records of the crew. She needed to get to know them all. With 42 officers and 126 enlisted, it would take time.

When Reea would take breaks to stretch her legs or roam the ship to learn its layout, she would match the names to the faces of the people she would see. Word had spread quickly that a Ferengi was on board, but she would still get odd looks or suspicious glances. Overall, people were nice. Starfleet acceptance and diversity, after all. This was a good thing for her, as she was enjoying a fresh opportunity very few of her people tried.

There was one last thing she wanted, but she needed to deal directly with the head of the operations department. Though an important mission had been completed, people were still busy all over the ship. She would get to it soon enough.

When the Illuminar reached Vulcan, Reea decided to visit. She had never been there, so she followed rule of acquisition 9: "Instinct, plus opportunity, equals profit."

Who knew what opportunities she would find there?
