(Vulcan - ShiKahr- Nivar Institute - Exam Room1- Dr.Felicity Tate- 1455)

She had supplied the Vulcan woman with a gown and while she was getting
into it had gone back outside and called one of the healers to escort the
group around the Institute. The Captain had gone with them despite his
protestations to the contrary leaving no one hanging around during the
examination which was the way she liked it. In all actuality she expected
Sekal would be directing the tour but having a member of the staff there
would insure they would both stay out of sensitive areas and have someone
available to give the tour the proper oversight and authorization. Having
friends around could be a beneficial distraction for the patient at times
but it could also cause "difficulties" as well for the attending physician
and she had under no illusions in this instance. Too many scientific minds
in one space could redirect focus and attention from the task at hand.

She returned to the room. "I see you're ready. Please lay on the exam table
on your stomach." The table had been covered with a sheet which would warm
up quickly.

"These sensors I'm attaching along your spinal column and running along
your legs and arms will give us a good view of your peripheral nervous
system. Once the series is completed you will turn over and we will do a
scan of your brain. The data will be accessible later today and will give
me a good idea of how long to keep you in neural regeneration."

She finished attaching the sensors and stepped around to the head of the
table where she could be seen. "The neural regeneration will take anywhere
from 10 to 15 days, there's no way for me to give you an accurate timeframe
until I have all of the data. You have no need to worry. The procedure is
safe and at your age the side effects should be minor."

The sensors activated and sent a small charge through her nervous system
which presented as a tingle as the system began mapping her nervous system.
Any aberrant readings would be noted and added to the database. There was
the addition of a feeling of warmth and at odd intervals pulses were sent
out that stimulated certain nerves which activated muscles for an instant
to test their reaction.
