RPG:

Mission: A Cure Delayed
Day: 3
Stardate: 2445.10.27

(Vulcan - ShiKahr- Transportation Hub - CO- Captain Sekal- 1418)

The ship had arrived earlier in the day and crew were transporting down
behind them. The CO had been among the first to make good on his earlier
vow. Doctor Felicity Tate at the Nivar Institute had been contacted and was
expecting them. Ensign T'Mur had shown signs of skittishness about going
down for the treatment which he had tactfully ignored as he was aware that
the neurological damage was having a widespread effect on her systems. With
Sekal and T'Mur were Doctor Solice, Lieutenant Lee, Jaton Alyl
and Commander Verin. While Vulcan was as safe as anywhere in the Federation
he had come to the understanding that he would be going nowhere without
someone from security accompanying him at all times. Such was the life of a
starship Captain whether logical or not and his experience at Bajor had
reinforced the logic of it.

Vulcan at this time of the year was not in high summer so the air
conditioning in the terminal was sufficient to keep the humans moderately
cool as they walked through the corridor which would terminate at an exit.
>From there they would take a ground vehicle to the institute. The Nivar
Institute was still often called the Vulcan Academy of Science even though
its designation had been changed at the lobbying efforts of Ambassador
Spock.

(Reply: T'Mur, Solice, Alyl, Lee, Verin)

"The doctor has a treatment suite already set aside. The neurological
conductivity test will be done today and treatment started tomorrow
after it has been analyzed. Rooms have already been set aside for our use
at the Nivar Luxury Suites facility nearby. It was the closest available
housing to the facility." Luxury was not necessary but then again he had
wanted to be as close to the operation as possible. Saleke and T'Kess were
on Mars and Earth respectively. He could have chosen to go home for the
interval but would have been too far away from events to monitor them
effectively.

(Reply: Any present)

The outer door hissed open and a light wind met then fortified by raw heat.
Sekal felt perspiration break out on his brow. He had been gone from his
home for nearly three years now and had not used the simulation enough to
armor himself sufficiently against the climate of his homeworld. The first
several days of waiting he would be reacclimating himself and taking it
carefully afterward. They wouldn't be on the planet long enough for a full
return to native conditions. The light from the trinary suns was expectedly
harsh and he shaded his eyes for a moment to allow them to adjust.

Several ground vehicles passed before a small van pulled up. Sekal spoke to
the driver in his native tongue then motioned the others to get into the
passenger compartment. "This is the conveyance that will take us to the
Institute."

(Reply: Any present, all)
