NRPG: moving things on a bit with tags – let me know if its too much.
Mission: Space was cool before it mattered
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.04.25
(Mining Station - COO, LT Janice Hammerfield - 1505)
" After you."
“Ill take point... stay sharp,” she replied with a nod.
(reply Kruze)
Slowly she angled down into the corridor and flipped her shoulder lights on for better illumination. Debris floated about left over from the vent slowly bouncing off of the corridor. Walking down she could feel her vision narrow and the walls feel tighter. ~Its ok you got this~ She took a few quick deep breaths to settle her when they reached an intersection, “I think this is your stop.”
" Ok the issue is down this ventilation shaft. The miners should be down that corridor inside their containment room. Get to them and hang tight, don't let them leave until I vent the area." Ethan said.
“Roger that, Take care,” she nodded and motioned to Kruze to follow her in.
(reply Kruze)
"See you soon." He said as he made his way into the ventilation shaft and started his descent.
(reply Kruze)
As she carefully made her way to the miners safe room she tried to distract herself from feeling claustrophobic, “So Doc – what condition are we expecting the miner here to be in?”
(reply Kruze)
“Understood,” she agreed, “Lets hope for the best.”
Reaching a panel on the wall she tried to access it, but the power was cut to it. ~probably the radiation~ Quickly she pulled out her tricorder and carefully pulled a panel off of the bottom to access its internals. Awkwardly she fiddled with the wiring in her suit and patched the tricorders power supply into the system to bring it online. “There we go,”
Accessing the working panel she tied in her comms to the adjacent room, “Hello – Hello? Is anyone in there? This is Lieutenant Hammerfield USS Exeter – We are here to get you out!”
(reply Miners)
“Its ok. Calm down. Whats your status? How many of you are there?” she continued for more information.
(reply Miners)
“Do you all have EV suits in there?”
(reply Miners)
“Perfect – if any of you don’t have them on please put them on now. We will be venting the room to get you out. Stow everything in there we don’t want any more floating debris,” Janice motioned to Kruze to come over to the comm so he could start checking up on them.
(reply Kruze)
“Hammerfield to Miller – whats your status?” she said into her suit and pushing off of the wall to the other side to give the doctor – and her - some space
(reply Miller)
“Affirmative – we are with the miners now. Will let you know when we are good to blow the hatch here and we can start getting them all out,”
(reply Miller)
Janice took the moment for a bit of respite for herself - her stomach was in knots and she could start to feel a salty taste in her throat. Putting her hands on her knees, closing her eyes and drawing a few more deep breaths she began to steel herself for the remainder of the mission.
(reply any)
