EXETERRPG: (1, 1459) COO Lieutenant Janice Hammerfield

Mission: Space was cool before it mattered

(Cheron CX-01- interior - COO, LT Janice Hammerfield - 1459)

"It's time." He said making his way back to the airlock of the cheron and activated the helmet on his EV suit.

“That it is,” Janice finished buckling up and powered her suit on as well, “Lets do this.”

 “Coming about, vector as programmed, coming in hot at one point five. Away team make ready.”

" When this door opens the magnetic boots will keep you grounded. Since the airlock is depressurized the only thing you have to do is kick off the ground. Once that happens the suits thrusters will activate and then we'll be on our way. "  He looked at the computer mounted on the left forearm of his suit.

"Should take 12 seconds to reach the surface of the facility."

"Open the door."

Checking the bay was fully depressurised she tapped the panel to her side and open the external doors. Taking in a few deep breaths she started to remind herself that she was one with the suit and it wasn’t something encasing her.

“Ladies and gentlemen thank you for flying Frost Airways.” Trinity said.

"Let's go."

Pressing off the floor she looked up at the mining station and slowly followed her helmets HUD over even for the relatively short distance. Before landing she flipped herself round and let her boots pull her onto the hull. With a metaling clap both attached one after the other, “That wasn’t too bad...”

“The hatch is this way – vent it when ready and we will get in there,” Janice pulled out her tricorder and started walking to their entry point, “Still too much radiation foe any useful scans.”

Sliding the tricorder away she placed her hand on a plasma torch on her belt to feel it still there in case they had to start cutting through, “We are in position.”
