(USS Exeter –Holodeck Observation Room- CEO/2O, Commander Keira Merek -1525)
Keira saw Tyrek check his PADD, and mumbled " Well that's surprising. "

"What? What's surprising?" Keira asked, now curious.

" A third reported homicide on earth just hit the news circuit. Three in
twenty-four hours. The reporters on earth are having a time with this." He
remarked as he looked at the news report.

" Identity of the third victim hasn't been released, but sources close to
the victim say she was a former Cadet at the academy who dropped out in
2443. "

"So that's someone I could have known." Keira said. She was curious to know
who it was, but respected the family's privacy and didn't look into it.

"I probably could, but they don't release the name because they are trying
to get ahold of the family." Keira was sure that Tyrek knew of such things,
saying it outloud more to convince herself than to explain it to him.

"Oh, snap, look at that! One of them was immune to the gas!" Keira said,
pointing at the screen she was only half looking at before.
