"I find it in the best interests to point out that we have a 38 percent chance of success if we move on the bridge as a unit," said T'Kel.
During his four years at Starfleet Academy, Roger participated in countless drills and simulations, so he knew how important it was to stay sharp and ready at all times. Though it was possible, however unlikely, the bridge could be compromised, he agreed with T'Kel that a direct assault wasn't the best option.
"We must take different positions," said t'Kel. "Ensign Harmon, if i were to provide an adequate distraction, is there any way you could alter the life support parameters on the bridge?"
Roger smiled. He had been mulling over an idea and it seemed T'Kel may have been thinking the same thing.
"Lieutenant Williams, we could flood the bridge with anesthezine gas," said Roger. "According to training manuals, at 70 parts per million, a typical humanoid would be out in 1.4 seconds. We could up that a bit for a faster time. No muss, no fuss, no bloodshed." Of course, that would work only if the simulation was programmed to be that realistic.
T'Kel mentioned they could travel to the bridge through the conduits of the ship, but Roger considered another option.
"Lieutenant, I don't have the clearance to look, but if the Exeter has any secret, emergency paths to the observation lounge or ready room, we could go that way," said Roger. "A few stun grenades could work, though the anesthezine is the safest choice."

NRPG: When Keiko O'Brien was possessed by a Pah-wraith in 2373, Miles O'Brien asked the computer how long it would take anesthizine gas to render Keiko unconscious. The computer responded that it would take 1.4 seconds, which was far too long to keep the Pah-wraith from killing her. (DS9: "The Assignment")
