EXETERRPG: (1-0927) Varro Kasha

Mission: Prelude to a Broken Promise Pt.2





Day:1





Stardate: 2446.04.23









(  Pirate vessel - Observation Deck - Varro Kasha- 0927)



With the ship formerly known as the USS Brutus already approaching the
Tellar Ranger outpost, Varro was settled on another ship on the observation
deck. Standing in front of a large window, where he would watch the attack.
Knowing that when the ship he was on dropped out of warp he would have a
view of everything that was to unfold.


He turned to his right where Lieutenant Edmond Branson was on his knees
with his mouth covered and his hands and feet bound.

Varro looked down at him.


" I wanted you to know that I had no intention of attacking your outpost,
but you forced my hand Lieutenant. You opened fire on one of my ships and
killed three of my people. You probably felt like a real hero didn't you ?
Flying your Valkyrie V fighter against a Gladius class starship. " Varro
said with disgust in his muffled voice.


Varro turned and looked back out the window.

" The moment you knew your communications were jammed you should have left.
Had you done so all of what is about to happen could have been avoided, but
instead you sealed their fate."


In that moment the ship dropped out of warp and before them was a spectacle
of chaos.

Mass explosions radiated out from the outpost as it was being decimated
with torpedoes. Valkyrie V attack fighters were hopelessly trying to defend
it, but they were out matched in every way as one Reliant class and two
Gladius class starships unleashed a barrage of weapons fire on the
starfleet outpost.


The light emanating from the explosions flashed on Lieutenant Branson's
face as he looked on in horror.


" Beautiful isn't it ? " Varro asked.


He looked down at the officer and picked him up. " LOOK AT WHAT YOU'VE
DONE. "  Varro yelled as he slammed the lieutenant's face against the
window.

" You brought this on them, you could have left us alone, but what you did
was awaken a sleeping giant and fill it with a terrible resolve."Varro
said, gripping his right hand around the back of Branson's neck.


The Lieutenant tried to scream out in anger as he watched his fellow
starfleet officers lose their lives. Tears streamed down his face


" This is what starfleet officers do best, they ruin lives , they allow
others to die. Your fellow officers are dying and all you can do is cry.
You are a disgrace to the UNIFORM ! " Varro roared out as he slammed
Lieutenant Branson's head against the window over and over again. Varro
pulled Branson back and looked at his swollen face.

" YOU DID THIS ! " Varro screamed in anger.

" YOU KILLED THEM !" He screamed and flung Branson to the floor behind him.


Varro turned back around and looked out the window just as the structural
integrity field of the outpost finally collapsed,  causing the outpost to
explode in a nearly blinding flash of light.


Varro turned around and looked down on Branson's battered body .

" You will live so that you remember the price they paid for your heroics."
He said as he stepped over the Lieutenant and left him alone on the cold
steel floor of the room.
