(USS Exeter - FO's Office - FO Cmdr Alex Jones - 0922)



Alex pulled his attention away from the window, the expanse of the Nebula
before him. "Enter." He called.



Erin entered his office, her visage one of calm. "You asked to see me,
Commander?" She said as she reached the desk. He didn't know how she was
feeling, but Alex felt his heart momentarily jump in his chest. Pushing
everything aside, he motioned to the seat opposite.



“Please, sit, don’t panic. You’re not in any trouble.” Alex said with a
smile.



As Erin sat, Alex took his own seat at his desk. “I’ll cut to the chase.
I’m not sure if you’re aware, we have a Fleet Special Envoy on board with a
team to study the radiation that the nebula is producing.”

He nodded. “As Chief Science Officer, I want you to work with Commander
Bracken…”

“Yeah surprised me too to be honest. But you are to offer her and her team
every assistance. You’re to liaise with her and make sure that she has
whatever lab space she needs. Fleet Medical and the Surgeon General are all
over this, so let's show them what the Exeter is capable of. Thoughts?”
