Mission: Space was cool before it mattered

(USS Exeter –Corridor – COO, LT Janice Hammerfield – 0836)



“Well sir. As you may know due to our nebula watching we have time to do more routine maintenance sir.”



"Tell me about it...” she rolled her eyes and lifted her hands above her onto the panel. With a short hop she secured it back into place. She gave it a quick glance to make sure she didn’t leave it in the same state that stopped her, “Bet your problem is more interesting that me closing this hatch though.”



“I was on my way to the forward tractor emitter. It’s been having odd power fluctuations during high power use.”



He indicated at his PADD.



“I was trying to see if it was a software or a hardware problem?”



Janice peered over at the PADD. Then took a side step beside him to get a better look. “That is peculiar.” She pulled up her own PADD and looked back at her logs applying a filter for anything related to the tractor beam, “I don’t have any records of any projects that might negatively impact it. Are you going to need to be running some tests on it?”

“Let me pencil that in the rotation for you so you aren’t fighting astrophysics for the power usage in case you need a bit extra. Save you requesting it later too,” she tapped her PADD and added the tractor beam maintenance to the power usage charts. “Got any leads?”
