(USS Exeter - Trinity's quarters-  ACEO Lieutenant Ethan Miller- 0835)








“I like food?” she sighed. “I’m certain that there’s a compliment in there
somewhere, but I know what you mean and it’s a lovely idea. Second he’s out
of sickbay, I'll take him to the Starlight lounge for dinner.” She smiled,
and snuggled down, leaning into his chest. “So you on shift at all today?”




" Not unless someone messes something up in some epic way, you'd be
surprised at how many times a week the engineering department has to keep
the bolts from flying off of things on this ship. Are you off ?" Ethan
asked.





Trinity shook her head, pushing the lustrous auburn hair out of her eyes,
“I have a bunch of paperwork to run through, but I’m not on the helm
today.” Trinity said as her head lay on his chest.


" Do you mean the KSL reports of the shuttlebay and the moving around of
some of the Exeter's support crafts to accommodate the marine drop ship?"
He asked.

" Well…I had a hard time sleeping last night and I knew you had a lot on
your plate. So…I kinda did them for you, I mean they require a CEO or
assistant CEO sign off and remarks. I did the logging and action plan for
maintenance, and also took care of the allocation logs. It's just a rough
draft, but if you're content the only thing the reports need is your
approval for submission. " Ethan informed her.

" I figured that I could be a good boyfriend and help my woman out a bit."
He laughed.

" No but seriously, you need time to focus on you, those KSL reports can
easily be done by someone competent enough. That's what people do when
they're together right? They help each other." He said and kissed the top
of her head.

Ethan sat up and turned to face her on the couch.

" Yesterday I said something to your father. Something that I'd rather you
hear from me and not him. "

Ethan held both of her hands and looked down at them.

" Yesterday when I found out he was your dad and after he talked to you in
the cockpit, He mentioned that you called me Honey, I was so nervous that I
blurted out that…" Ethan took a deep breath.
" I told him that I may, you know…I may love you. Please don't freak out
and feel like I'm pressuring you. I've never been in a relationship before
and my gauge of what love is , isn't the greatest, but I know that I think
about you day and night and it never makes me sad, upset, frustrated or
angry. The thought of you makes me smile and for once in my life I…I feel
like I belong, ya know?" He gently shook her hands.

" I can be me and feel like I'm where I always wanted to be. That has to
mean something. " Ethan's heart was pounding.
