Day: 2
Stardate: 2446.04.26
(USS Exeter - Sickbay – CMO Lt. SG Heinrich Kruze - 1252)
“I’ve not no.” Janice said. "I take it this is all routine right now? Are they miner is a treatable state?” she poked her head up to try look into the medbay.
“None of this is, strictly speaking, routine.” Heinrich said, furrowing his eyebrows, “Everything going on with those miners is a mystery. They’re in stable condition right now, though.”
“Gotcha – well... lets get these tests over with then,” she said smiling. It was then Dr. Vulon arrived and introduced himself to Janice.
" I'm Dr. Vulon, I'm going to run a few tissue comparisons between You and Dr. Kruze and the miners. If they are only now exhibiting symptoms there had to be a reason for their delay overall. Perhaps even a mineral analysis. So I'll need urine samples from both you.
Heinrich held up his coffee. “I figured.” He said with a smile and took another sip.
"I'll go speak with the miners. I'll use their numerous urine samples that they've already. Provided. Although it would have been helpful if we had a sample of the miners food supply or even their water, some part of their environment that would have ended up being passed through their body on a regular basis. " Vulon said.
“Yeah… that would be useful…” Heinrich trailed off. He tried to remember all that they had done while in the station. “Oh! Lieutenant Miller took some water sample. He didn’t show it to me, but I remember seeing that in the reports.”
"He did? Why would an engineer collect a water sample? " Vulon wondered.
"Anywho it's unimportant.” Dr. Vulon then got ahold of Ethan on his commbadge. Heinrich put a call out minutes before requesting the Lieutenant attend the exam, as he was part of the away team. But based on the conversation he gathered Ethan was afraid of being probed. Which was oddly not an uncommon fear among some terrans on the ship when Dr. Vulon was involved.
"Seriously? An engineer with a personal interest in water? No wonder the turbolifts are so slow on my morning dash to get coffee.”
“I don’t know what to tell you Doctor,” he said throwing his arms up in mock frustration.
Klaz unmuted the channel to continue the conversation with Ethan. He, rightly, demanded an expedited analysis of the sample.
"I'll send a Nurse to collect your samples. I'm gonna go get some results." Klaz said.
‘Understood Doctor. Let’s hope our engineer’s personal interest in water holds the key and you don’t need to resort to anal probing him.” Heinrich said with a grin.
When Dr. Vulon left Heinrich turned to Janice. “Well, you heard him.” He said getting up. “Time to take our samples.”
(Reply Janice)
“I don’t see why we should need much else for now. At least until we know what’s going on in the water sample.”
(Reply Janice)
“After you.” He said, motioning to the door.
