Mission: Space was cool before it mattered
Day: 2
Stardate: 2446.04.26
(USS Exeter - Sickbay – CMO Lt. SG Heinrich Kruze - 1222)
“It looks like radiation burns but this should have happened hours ago not after this amount of time. It just does not make sense.”
“LaGrande looks like what I was expecting to see back in the station. It’s like he’s making up for lost time…” Heinrich said, trailing off. Nothing about this situation was adding up. They were becoming ill when they should be well, and well when they should be ill. Either they’re reacting to something on the ship, which is doubtful or otherwise everyone would be getting radiation burns, or there was something that protected them in the station that isn’t protecting them on the Exeter. But nothing had shown up in the scans to suggest that.
“Doctor, do you think we should treat Mr LaGrande with heavy duty anti-radiation medication? Its spreading fast but I don’t know if we are too late?”
“Hard to tell if we are too late or not. Start the standard radiation treatment, then treat the burns.” Heinrich didn’t want to consider that it would already be too late just as they knew for certain there was a problem.
“Do you think we should also get the away team back in, in case its something we missed during the scans?”
Heinrich nodded. “The away team might be the key to this for us. I’ll get ahold of Lieutenants Hammerfield and Miller. We’ll need to be looked at one more time.”

“Keep me informed, it goes without saying this is our top priority.”
(Reply Ewan)
Heinrich left to his quarters to round up the away team and to prepare for exams.
(Reply Ewan, none)
