Mission: Space Was Cool Before It Mattered

 

Day: 2

 

Stardate: 2446.04.26

 

 

(Exeter – CTO Office – CTO – Lieutenant – Ire Williams – 1532)

 

~Okay so this is what happens when the crew get bord~

 

He looked at the updated report that he had been given.

 

~Two ensigns fighting after drinking too much on there off duty time~ 

 

He would keep them in the brig for a bit to sober up before sending areport to their seniors. He was about to carry on when his door chimed sounded.

 

“Come.”

 

He looked up from his PADD as one of his security officers entered. Heput the PADD down on to the table.

 

“What can I do for you Ensign Philips?”

 

The Ensign paused for a moment looking a bit uncomfortable.

 

“Well sir there has been a report of a theft from the party?”

 

He paused for a moment as his eyes dropped to the PADD and quickly scannedit.

 

“You mean the party on the crew quarters that went on rather late andwe have complaints of noise from the decks above and below?”

 

It was a slight exaggeration but not by much.

 

“Okay so what’s appeared to be missing.”

 

The Ensign paused again.

 

“Um sir the theft was a sentimental farting stuffed hippo.”

 

Ire paused for a moment trying to work out if he was being set up for a prank.

 
“A farting stuffed hippo? As in a soft toy not at actual hippo I assume?”
 

The Ensign nodded.

 

“And you are bringing this to me why?”

 

The Ensign squirmed.

 

“Um well sir….”

 

“Okay Ensign. Tell the owner of this farting stuffed hippo I will makeit my top priority.”

 

The Ensign nodded in relief.

 

“Yes sir, thank you sir.”

 

Ire nodded as the Ensign left the office. He sat there looking at thedoor for a moment before he chuckled to himself.

 

“Greta is not going to believe this.”

 

He glanced at the chromometer.

 

~Come on you have been putting it off since they got here~

 

He composed himself as he nodded to himself, he tapped his comm badge.

 

“Lieutenant Williams to Lieutenant Colonel Na’Rel.”

 

(Reply Na’Rel)

 

“Sorry to bother you, Colonel. I would like to speak to you about how weintegrate our respective departments into the ships tactical plan. What wouldbe a good time to meet?”
