Mission: Space was cool before it mattered
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.04.25
(USS Exeter - Science Lab 1 - Science Officer Henry Parker - 1421)
"Mister Parker, would you set up a directly link with the shuttle and record all the sensor data and correlate it with what we have already?”
“Yes, I can do that.” Henry said. It seemed like busy work to him, but it sure beat everything else he had been tasked to do that day.
"Excellent. Let's show them how thorough we are. Ensign Tilkrene, with me." Erin said and began to walk out of the lab.
Henry returned to his console and opened up the link with its sensors. Of course Tilkrene got the fun part of the job. Henry was beginning to resign himself to the realization that if he was going to have any fun on the Exeter he was going to have to make it up himself. He leaned back on his chair, sipping a coffee, waiting for Erin to contact him with further instructions.
While he was daydreaming about the music of the spheres Erin came loud and clear through his commbadge. =/\=Cortez to Parker.=/\=
He tapped the badge, “Speaking.”
=/\=Data should be coming through now. Please compare it with the scans and your test that you ran on the overnight data.=/\=
“I’ll get right on it and let you know what I see.”
=/\=Understood, Cortez out.=/\=
He sat up in his chair and looked at the data coming through on his screen. The shuttle left right at the height of the radiation, giving him optimal readings. Scanning the data multiple times, correlating it with past readings, he saw nothing out of the ordinary. Everything looked to be in order for the survey crew.
He tapped his badge. “Parker to Lieutenant Cortez.”

“It all looks in order. I’ll have a report prepared for you by the time you get back to the lab.”
