Mission: Andromeda's Chain
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.01.03
(USS Exeter – Deck 7, sickbay- aCO Cmdr Ailynn Bracken – 0527)
" Take this, you have to defend a wounded officer and I'm no fighter. I
shot one of those bast.." he stopped to correct his language. " I shot one
of them with a phaser on maximum stun. They got right back up. Whatever is
wrong with them it seems phasers only slow them down."
He said looking at the wall and quickly popped open a service panel and
reached inside , pulling out a long cylindrical rod. It was a point of
access tool used by maintenance to remove mounting plates for various
circuitry. He laid it down next to the phaser.
" A quick hit to the head seems to drop them..."
He said with a look of reluctance.
Ailynn could read body language pretty well, she didn’t need Moxley to
elaborate, the pain that sat in his eyes reflected what he had clearly had
to do to people that only a short couple of days ago, he may have been
singing stupid old songs with at the drop of New Years, now those same
people had probably wanted him dead, perhaps killed others as he watched.
Silently, she nodded.
" Be careful Sirs." Moxley said, nodding his head before sneaking out to
the hallway towards the CMO's office.
Ailynn had a whole host of replies, she had always been able to look after
herself, had always been resourceful, and quick of thought. It had always
been the Moxley’s of this world that she encountered that always seemed to
be the ones who truly suffered; and they were always the ones without a
fault that told her to be careful.
“Take Care Ensign.” She called back, with a sad sigh, the knowledge that if
they all survived and made it back home, that Fleet Medical would probably
remove all of them from active duty for the foreseeable.
“Never a dull moment” she said quietly to herself, as she turned to Greta
to look at her injury.
