Mission: Andromeda's Chain
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.01.03
(USS Exeter – Deck 7, sickbay- NPC EO Ensign Ronald Moxley – 0526)
“I got that feeling. Thank you, take point and move forward, we’re headed
to sickbay ourselves. Lieutenant Smith is just ahead, she’ll be back in a
minute."
" Yes Si…" Moxley went to respond
As he tried to answer her and began to move out, Greta came stumbling back
around the corner, her face was deathly pale. As Greta approached them,
she smiled softly as she saw another officer with her. "Oh… we having a
party?"
Ailynn could see instantly that all was not well. “Frak sake Greta I
knew...Prophets…” she swore. Moxley. Help her, get the other arm, support
her.”
Moxley moved quickly to help the Lieutenant. The sight of blood made his
stomach start to turn.
Greta blinked slightly, her hearing was a little muffled as they spoke and
she leant against the wall near them. Holding out her hand, which was now
covered with a dark red slick glove, she looked at them both and said, "I
may need a new uniform."
Ailynn ducked under Greta’s other arm, and supported her weight. “Press the
wound ‘G’ we’re just round the corner, there’s a storage room just by the
main entrance, always got a medkit and surgical tools in. You’re in the
best hands.”
" Nice and Easy Sir." He said to the Lieutenant.
“Here,” she ushered them into the small room, and bodily lifted Greta onto
the countertop, then ripped open her tunic around the wound. “You do not do
things by halves. Press there. Moxley, that bag, open and tip the contents
where I can reach them, then pass me two of the small tubes, with a cyan
vial, marked 50mg. MOVE IT.”
Moxley frantically grabbed the bag and displayed the contents for the
commander.
" Here Sir."
(Reply Greta)
“Shush Greta, I don’t give a damn about the bro code at the moment.”
(Reply Greta)
Moxley's face started to a slight shade of green as the blood was making
him feel ill.
He was an engineer not a medic.
“Thank you Moxley. Relax, I’m an old hand at illegally fixing stab wounds.
Admittedly I’ve not done it since Med School. Now, you're dismissed Moxley.
CMO's office is next door. I would come, but I have to do this.”
He nodded his head and turned to leave. He stopped and unstrapped his
phaser rifle from his shoulder and sat it down near commander Bracken and
Lieutenant Smith on the counter top.
" Take this, you have to defend a wounded officer and I'm no fighter. I
shot one of those bast.." he stopped to correct his language. " I shot one
of them with a phaser on maximum stun. They got right back up. Whatever is
wrong with them it seems phasers only slow them down."
He said looking at the wall and quickly popped open a service panel and
reached inside , pulling out a long cylindrical rod. It was a point of
access tool used by maintenance to remove mounting plates for various
circuitry. He laid it down next to the phaser.
" A quick hit to the head seems to drop them..."
He said with a look of reluctance.
These were not enemies, these people were friends and family.
( reply Bracken and Smith)
" Be careful Sirs." Moxley said, nodding his head before sneaking out to
the hallway towards the CMO's office.
