Mission: Andromeda's Chain
Day: 1
Stardate: 2446.01.03
(USS Exeter – Deck 5, The Dog House – aFO, Lt. Cmdr. Keira Merek – 0520)
As Keira had busied herself with the replicator in the room Erin had been
using the console to track the comings and goings of various crew
throughout the ship. She knew who was on the bridge and where certain key
players were but, as for contacting them covertly… she hadn’t managed it.
Taking a breath and rubbing her eyes, she leaned back on the chair she was
sat on and took a moment to refocus herself. The fight with the crew woman
earlier was weighing heavily on her.
“Did you manage to locate or contact our CO?” Keira asked, finishing up her
physical tasks.
"I know where she is. As for contacting her, I do have an idea but it may
be best to throw caution to the wind and head to her current location."
“So, she’s not on the bridge?” Keira said. “That’s good, that means that
she’s not in-charge of this coup.”
"Does it? I mean who knows at the moment who is really in charge?" Erin
replied tersely.
“Who’s on the bridge?” Keira asked.
"There’s a number of people…" Erin began rattling through some names. "...
there's someone called Lana, medical intern I think and …" Erin paused a
second as she saw the last name on the list, "... Billy. Billy Alexander."
She listened for the list of names, when she got to one…“Billy? That
doesn’t make any sense. Is he in charge of a mutiny or merely being
controlled?”
"How am I supposed to know?" Erin snapped. "He's by lana. So, who knows?"
“Well, if Ailynn is on our side, then by regulations it will take myself
and her to enact my plan.” Keira said.
Glaring at Keira, Erin knew what she was about to suggest. She had taken
the same command classes as they all had and knew.. "Keira, you can't be
serious."
“By protocol, if a foreign power gains control of the ship. We have to
initiate the self destruct. I just need to talk to Ailynn, in person
preferably.” Keira said.
"That's got to be the final solution. You cannot destroy the ship! It's not
feasible…"
“I know, but this is serious.” Keira said. “ I have a method of gaining us
some cover, a distraction. If you can talk to Ailynn, send her a message,
arrange a meet up place. I sent out my Mo’Kai worm a while ago, it will
have slithered it’s way into the systems by now. That will be our
distraction.”
"I can. I can at least tell her to stay where she is."
“I’ll ready a message of my own to play when the worm finally is defeated,
it should take them a while to break it, an hour or two at least.” Keira
said.
"Fine. But just so you know, I don’t plan on letting you blow me up."
Focusing back on the console, Erin opened up a file she had not used in a
few months. She knew that 'Blue' was still in play, at least for now and
hoped against hope that Ailynn remembered her morse code.
Tapping out a message, she hesitated slightly before sending it. Causing
the crystal embedded in Ailynn’s neck to vibrate, she knew that this was a
risk but one that was needed.
"Okay, here goes nothing." She muttered as the message began to play. A
series of dots and dashes. Undetectable to all unless they knew what they
were looking for and, even then, tracing either end of the signal was a
nigh on impossible task.
=/\= ... - .- -.-- / .--. ..- - --..-- / . .-. -. . ... - --- =/\=
And the message replayed twice before stopping.
"....If you don’t. I will hunt you down. I will find you and I will kill
you. Make the right choice.” Keira pushed the button to save the recording.
"Someone got out of bed on the wrong side today." Erin said, turning to
face her friend.
(Reply Merek)
"I have a way to make sure that Commander Bracken is who I hope she is.
But, it’s risky. One of us should go to her alone. The other can wait
nearby. That way, if she is with the mutineers… " she left the rest unsaid.
(Reply Merek)
"No. I go. If she is who we hope, then you come join us. If she isn't,
then it's only me hat gets caught and leaves you free to cause havoc. Its
logical."
(Reply Merek)
"Keira, you know I'm right so let's not argue and go."
(Reply Merek)
(Reply Merek, any)

NRPG: The morse code is correct and has a definite message lol. Mark knows
what it says.
