Mission: Andromeda's Chain

(Unknown planet - Ridge, ACFO, Lt. JG Ronnie Winters- 0516)


" The wreckage is on a ledge about 12  meters down. I didn't notice any
movement." He paused , taking a deep breath.

" We are going to have to repel down the rock face to the wreckage. There
is no easy or safe way to do this. " Ravok said to them quietly.

Ronnie looked and Ravok and nodded accent to the next step.

Ravok removed his backpack and opened it quickly, grabbing his gear.

" I'll go down first, set the line, and the rest of you can follow once I
give the signal. If something happens to me I order all of you to run back
to the Muskogee as quickly as possible and leave. " Ravok said as he
fastened his harness around him.

( reply away team)

" Doctor Kruze you follow behind me, take your time, plant your feet,
grasping hand behind your back and hop gently down. Watch me closely. "
Ravok said.

( reply Kruze)

" I won't let you fall. I'll catch you if you lose control. " He said then
looked at Ronnie and Jori.

" Lieutenant, you will follow the doctor and Ensign Jori, you will come
down last so you can cover us from above. Understood?"

"Aye sir," Ronnie nodded. "

" Phasers on maximum stun." He ordered as he approached the and planted his
anchor point, properly tied off , Ravok dropped his rope down and leaned
backwards over the edge and began his decent. He looked up at Kruze.


" Watch me "

Ravok pushed his feet away from the rock face in controlled and precise
movements, maintaining control of his descent. Once he reached the bottom
he unhooked himself and pulled out his phaser , Ravok peaked around the
side of the wreckage, still he saw no movement. He looked up and waved for
kruze to follow.

Ravok held the line steady as Kruze began his descent.

Ronnie waited for Kruze to begin her descent and then started her own
descent, yet as she began to repel down, , getting herself within 20 feet
of the ground, the hook from the gear that was in her back snapped, almost
as if it were tampered with. As she began to fall, she tucked her self into
a ball to take the landing and then roll to lessen the impact, as she hit
the ground with a thud and painfully rolled, falling into one of the purple
pools filled with an unknown liquid. It was shallow, maybe only a foot
deep. She did her best to painfully pull herself out of the pool, laying on
the side of the pool wincing in pain.
