" To infinity and beyond!" Jori exclaimed, her voice muffled by the
respirator.

~ Must be a Deltan phrase ~ Ravok thought to himself about Ensign Jori's
first words on the planet. Perhaps they were the words used by a famous
explorer from their world. Ravok knew very little of Deltans.


"Sir, the downed vessel is 1.9 kilometers in that direction." Jori pointed
northward. "Readings indicate patches of toxic substances spread across the
landscape, but from this distance, I can't tell what it could be. We need
to be cautious."

" Agreed Ensign, I'll collect a soil analysis shortly and get a close
encounter with the liquid substance to determine it's chemical makeup.
Might even find a new element. If we do I call dibs on Ravokonium." He said
with a slight laugh.

Ravok said as he walked behind her and Doctor Kruze. He turned to his right
and looked at Ronnie and moved towards her as they walked forward. He could
tell Ronnie was having a rough day so far, she had the calm and collected
demeanor of Trip but Ravok knew as Ash's daughter that fiery Bracken blood
flowed in her veins. Ravok always knew Ronnie as one who was quick to put
someone, regardless of who they were in their place. As tough as she was
beautiful.

" It doesn't make a difference you know." Ravok said to Ronnie as they
walked. His eyes surveying the landscape.

" About your parents. Most of us already considered you like family
anyways. Like a younger sister. You came along and fit right in. If anyone
is gonna treat you any different because of it then they can kiss your ass
and keep it moving. You're Lieutenant Ronnie Winters. That's something to
be proud of and that's all I'm going to say about it. Life is too
short..... "

 Ravok said, trying to offer her slight peace of mind to her in some way.
