Caine liked Gamma shift it was normally quite, tonight however it had all gone to pieces, firstly the CMO made a ship board announcement, that caused no end of wagging tongues. Shaking his head Caine went back to his work, rocks where never a major problem. 

Sitting in dark with an old fashioned Lupe in his eye, Caine was studying the latest batch of samples when all hell broke loose, the sound of running feet and weapons fire had him skulking in the dark corners of the lab, hoping no one would see him.
