“Maybe it was a failsafe in case T’Kel was compromised before warp power was knocked out “
 Paul pondered the question, that was an option, but the question remained why, why go to all the trouble of disabling comms, why not have the life support slowly fail.
“I guess the plan was to leave us stranded out here but why? Its not like we are anything special we are a runabout for prophets’ sake.” 
Paul looked up, “ Ah yes, a runabout with the Chief Flight Officer and the Chief Operations Officer, the other shuttle has Tactical, Medical heads of department. Leaving Science and Engineering on the Exeter, me being a nasty suspicious old security officer jumps to one very nasty conclusion, get rid of those that can cause trouble.”

> Paul stared at the wall opposite for a few seconds deep in thought, the thoughts where nasty and some what troubling if the  Exeter had been taken then by who, what race, most of the major races had been quite since the civil war, in fact most had taken the trouble to distance themselves from the federation, so who or what had happened.
