Mission: Andromeda's Chain

Day: 1

Stardate: 2446.01.03

(Runabout Muskogee - ACFO, Lt. JG Ronnie Winters - 0437)

" The atmosphere is definitely one of a M Class world , but the planet
seems to contain several toxic components. Pockets with high levels of
methane and ammonia. The Ozone layer seems to be in a state of erosion. The
planet's surface is not too dissimilar from the M class worlds we know.
There are unusual readings however from several large bodies of liquid. The
chemical composition of the liquids don't match anything we have on file. "
Ravok informed them as he read the preliminary read outs.

"There is also something in the atmosphere that would make it difficult to
transport someone from the surface. So it looks like we're going to have
land on the planet. Rather than just a quick beam, snag, and grab."

(reply any on board)

" I've isolated the location of the distress signal. Location 352.1 mark
414.8. There is an alloy structure large enough to contain a small crew
with diminished integrity.

Definitely reads like a crashed shuttle to me. " Ravok noted . "
Lieutenant Winters, Try to land us nearby. 351.4 mark 422.3 seems like a
good flat spot."

"Aye sir," Ronnie said as she layed in the coordinates of the distress
signal. "Preparing for our descent"

Ravok prepared to switch to atmospheric thrusters on her signal. "On your
mark Lieutenant."

"All hands prepare for planetary descent. Iniatiate atmo thrusters on my
mark." Ronnie then paused, smiled, then giggled, "Mark." She found herself
funny.

Ravok slammed the atmospheric thrusters on and the runabout shook slightly
and subsided to a gentle rumble as they passed through yellowish clouds.
Passing the clouds the sky outside the windows was reddish orange, turning
yellow near the horizon. The reddish landscape looked like the
preTerraformed Martian surface.

"It looks like due to some water features and elevation we won't be able to
land by the crash site. We're going to need to land about 2 kilometers
away."

(reply any)

In a matter of moments the Muskogee made landfall and settled in nicely on
the ground. "So which one of us is going to be the first member of
Starfleet to set foot on this planet?" (Reply Any) (reply Jori, Ravok,
Kruze) (posted by Will)
