Mission: Lights, Camera….Action?

Day: 1

Stardate: 2446.01.01/2025.06.30

(Toronto, Canada - Steve's Car- CTO/3O Lieutenant commander Ravok - 1044)

Ravok looked at Steve with confusion when the vehicle came to a stop.

" Why is everyone stopped?"

" Red light. " Steve responded.

Ravok shifted in his seat to look ahead. There was a red light bringing
everyone to a stop. "Ok…" he said turning his head and looking at Craig and
his friends in the vehicle next to them.

" Pull over!" Craig demanded as he hung out the window of his van.

" This is ridiculous. " Ravok remarked and removed his sunglasses.

" ITS YOU!" Craig said in shock.

the light turned green and they started moving again.

" He recognized me ,Steve. We have to lose them and make our way back to
collect Erin."

" I don't know what to do." Steve replied.

Ravok did a quick look around.

" Evasive Maneuvers " he said and jerked the steering wheel to the left and
the car popped the curb.

"AHHH" Steve screamed as he regained control of the wheel as they drove
down an alleyway between two buildings

" DRIVE." Ravok yelled as he noticed Craig was in pursuit.

" Ok ok don't yell." Steve winced.

At the end of the alley they reached a street and turned left. The Van
followed them out onto the street.

" If I get to the 401 freeway. We could possibly lose them ."

" Ok make it happen. " Ravok said as he watched the van pull up beside.
Both vehicles came to another stop.

" Let me guess redlight ?" Ravok asked. He was becoming extremely
frustrated.

" No, stop sign." Steve replied.

Ravok opened the car door and stepped out. " Enough is enough " he said as
he walked two steps over to the stopped van.

" What are you doing?" Craig asked , very confused.

Ravok reached in the open window and yanked the keys out of the ignition.
Dangling them in front of Craig's face.

" I don't have time for this "

" What? Give those back " Craig said in shock that this was happening

Ravok turned and launched the keys across the street.

" You can't do that. "

" Well I just did." Ravok smirked and got back in Steve's car.

" Drive."

Steve nodded and drove off.

Looking back in the rear view Steve couldn't help but feel bad.

" You shouldn't have done that."

" Call it a tactical maneuver. I disabled their propulsion capabilities
without hurting anyone. I'd call that a textbook crackshot executed
perfectly." Ravok said.

" If they call the police…"

" Then we will need a faster car." Ravok interrupted him.

Steve began to panic

" We need to get off the road. "

" We need to get back to the convention center and acquire Lieutenant
Cortez and track down the variants of my captain and first officer and
...Commander Merek, maybe I can attempt to figure out what's going on. "

" Variants ? What the hell are you talking about? This being in character
routine was great at first, but you aren't Ravok, you aren't Romulan. You
are an actor!" Steve said to him.

Ravok glared at him.

" I need your help, I can't do this without you. Besides, mnhei'sahe
demands it."

He said to Steve invoking the Romulan concept of honor.

" How?" Steve asked.

" I saved you from the embarrassment of having those guys rip your costume
to shreds while onlookers laughed at your misfortune. You owe me for
helping you save face. "

Steve turned left at an intersection and towards the hotel he was staying
at.

" Fine. You're right."

Ravok felt his stomach rumble.

" We need to get something to eat."

Steve smiled as he turned the car into the hotel parking lot.

" The bar here has amazing jalapeno bacon cheeseburgers."

" I can't…" Ravok stopped himself and thought. ~ If I'm human , maybe I can
tolerate this cow and pig sandwich ~

" You can't what?" Steve asked.

" Nothing " Ravok smiled.

" Let's get inside "

Steve pulled the car into a parking spot.

" Let's hit the bar first and get lunch. "

Ravok stood beside the car and put his sunglasses back on and looked over
the roof of the car at Steve.

" You don't want to change first? You look like a baked potato in that
tinfoil costume. "

Steve glared at him.

Ravok put his hands up. " Im just playing around"

~ No I'm not ~

" Really?" Steve asked

" Of course, in all actuality you make a very handsome Romulan." Ravok
smirked as they walked into the lobby.

" Thank you." Steve replied as they walked into the bar.

(Toronto, Canada - Hotel Bar- CTO/3O Lieutenant commander Ravok - 1106)

They both sat down at the bar and Steve ordered both of them sodas and the
infamous jalapeno bacon cheeseburgers.

When their burgers arrived Ravok bit into it without hesitation. His eyes
nearly jumped out of his head.

" This is amazing "

" None of the replicated crap huh?" Steve asked sarcastically.

Ravok took another massive bite.

" Nuul ishh sho guld." He said with a mouthful of cheeseburger.

" Can I ask you something?"

Ravok nodded his head as he continued to eat.

" What was your favorite episode to film?"

Ravok swallowed his food and took a drink. Thinking about how to answer.

" Ummm I can't really think of an episode"

Ravok didn't know which parts of his life were confined to which episode.
To him it was simply his life.

" Come on there has to be something." Steve urged him.

" When Trip became Captain of the Exeter and meeting Rayna." Those were the
only two things he could think of in the moment.

" Ok. I have another question for you." Steve said.

" Go on" Ravok insisted.

" Why does Ravok have such an unwavering loyalty to Trip Williams ? The way
I see it Ravok is super capable as an officer , but blindly loyal to his
superiors."

Ravok looked at him with confusion.

" Blindly loyal? How so?"

" Well Gee I don't know maybe because Trip is technically a science major.
The guy took stellar cartography for crying out loud. If anything he's the
best helmsman on the ship and Commander Bracken is a Doctor with zero to no
command experience. Commander Merek is a brilliant engineer."

Ravok looked at Steve a part of him wanted to smack him silly.

" Ravok majored in command and control. He took every class in the academy
that certifies him to be the best option at nearly every station on the
bridge. Ravok knows the ops station, tactical, the helm and I'm pretty sure
he could work the engineering station as well. "

" Stop right there." Ravok said, putting his hand up.

" Trip is a leader. Before the age of 23 he led the fighter wing on
successful engagements against hostile enemy forces. He coordinated flight
patterns and tactics in 5 minutes tops each time. His mind is on overload.
When it comes to calculations and numbers, Trip is hands down more
impressive than a Ferengi merchant teaching economics to a Vulcan
mathematician who sleeps with algebraic equations tattooed on the inside of
his eyelids. So don't try to say that he is just a helmsman, because he's
not. He's our leader, he's the commander we turned to when we needed it.
I'd follow him to hell anyday anytime. Secondly Commander Bracken may not
be the definition of a command officer , but she analyzes information
faster than a Tricorder on the highest bandwidth sweep setting. She's more
than capable of commanding a crew.

Third, last but not least. Commander Merek, yes she lacks people skills,
but that woman is fast thinking and extremely adaptable under pressure. Her
thought process exist entirely outside the box and that makes her single
handedly the most dangerous woman I have ever met and at the same time the
most dependable." Ravok finished.

" What do they think of Ravok?" Steve asked.

" How the hell would I know? I mean Trip trust me with the safety and well
being of the ship and crew. " Ravok responded, shrugging his shoulders.

Steve pulled out his phone and looked up a scene from the show on his
phone.

" Look at this." He said, sliding his phone to Ravok.

Ravok looked at the visual display of the communications device.

" Ok they are in the ready room"

" Shut up and watch " Steve responded

==“Do you think Ravok is harping on Caity because he doesn’t want to focus
on Ire or his former subordinate Paul or his current subordinate Stan?”
Trip asked.

“Honestly no I don’t. I think that there’s just a touch more...evidence,
however circumstantial to suggest her. It hasn’t helped I think he thinks
I’m out to protect her at any cost, took my sentence in it’s worst light.”

“I say this with no disrespect, but he’s Romulan and he probably sees the
world through the lens of a Romulan. Secrets having secrets.”==

Ravok looked away from the phone.

" I mean he's right. So what is that supposed to prove? "

Steve pulled up another video and skipped a few minutes into it. The video
was of a counseling session between Trip and counselor Jestayre Lavorre.

" No no no, that's private." Ravok said, shaking his head.

" It's a clip " Steve remarked.

Ravok gestured to the phone.

" It's a captains counseling session. Viewing this breaks so many rules."

" Just look. " Steve insisted.

Ravok looked at it briefly

=="Then there is Ravok. Ravok served with me as the Flight Squadron
Executive Officer for a year. In a sense, given the nature of the wing, he
has that experience. But he’s emotional. At times he can be a bit too
impulsive, and well, he can be a bit too Romulan, which depending on the
day is both a compliment and a curse. I love the guy, but he’s not ready to
take the big chair just yet. Someday, I know he’ll be a captain some day,
but he needs the seasoning. We all do."==

Ravok felt a slight kick in his chest.

" That's enough. "

" See Trip doesn't think Ravok is ready, but somehow he is. To be honest
none of them are. " Steve said ,giving his input.

Ravok slid his plate away.

" This is just too unreal." He said, placing his head in his hands.
