(USS Exeter- Sickbay– Nurse – CPO - Ewan McDonald - 0803)

 

Ewan sighed and held his face in his hands.

“Ewan”

“What” He mumbled through his hands.

“Look alive the boss is coming.”

Ewan looked up and over at his colleague who was smirking atyou.

“I hate you.”

She grinned back. 

“I guess you had good time on Risa.”

He nodded and then wished that he had not.

“I was a nice evening on the beach, around a fire, talkingto people, relaxing…”

“Drinking too much alcohol?”

“Yes, drinking too much alcohol.” 

“Here this may help.”

There was a soft hiss as a hypospray at his neck.

“What was that?”

His headache and body pain began to dissipate.

“What was that?”

 “It was a specialconcoction just for these types of occasions. Now you better get back to work beforethe on-duty doc comes and put you on report for being badly hungover. Here issome coffee to help as well.”

“I was not that bad….”

He picked up the cup and sipped the strong liquid.

“…..Okay maybe. Thanks.”

He began to scroll the daily routine messages. He tagged acouple of alerts and passed them for the duty doctor’s notice. He stopped scrollingat a caution message from the Risan medical board. He tapped his comm badge.

“Nurse McDonald to the on-call doctor.”

“Sorry to bother you. I have had a caution message from Risanmedical board their seems to be a case of Bolian stomach bug causing vomitingand diarrhoea. They have is under control but are requesting ships in orbit doa random screening of the crew. In case it has been brought back from thesurface.”

“No Doctor the message seems to be just in case rather thanan actual problem. If you are happy, I can select two people per department andget you the results for you in a couple of hours.”
