Slowly Stan squeezed the air balloon at the end of the tube. A large droplet of liquid swelled at the end. Then dropped onto the plants soil. It had been a few days but the Lapageria had done exceptionally well. He had downloaded all Erin would need. To keep the plant good and healthy. Shoots where beginning to show. He smiled , the plant would be flowering soon. He checked the climbing framework was properly attached to the pot.

“ More here ma’am how may I help  ye today?” He said happily 
 
“=/\=Ensign, please come to my office at your earliest convenience. I state earliest as i am sure you want to go to the surface and i have a date with the beach and a drink with a little umbrella in it.=/\= “
 
“ I can come straight away. Plus I have a wee friend to introduce to you.” 
 
=/\= “Excellent. Cortez out”=/\=
 
“ Come on my wee pretty one let’s introduce yer to your new mother. “ Stan said lifting the pot containing the plant.

When he pressed the door chime and was allowed in. More slowly walked into Erins office. He placed the plant on her desk and took a step back.

“ Sorry for the delay ma’am. This is our friend here’s first visit outside the Lab.’ Stan said

Stan handed her a PADD.

“ This has all the instructions ye will need. She’s been watered so there is no need to repeat that for a day. Plus I gave her a good feed so she is good to go for a few days. One thing though once the flowers  come through. She would like a visit to the Arboretum. So the insects can Pollinate her .” Stan said
