 (USSExeter –Deck 9 - Arboretum – Sec/Tac – Ensign - Arbor –1714)

Arbor knelt in the soft soil in front of the saplingthat had pocked its way out and had two little green leaves pointing to the ceiling.The spot was off the main winding path out of the way which he found impressiveas the Arboretum was not expansive. He slid the fingers of his hand around thestem holding it protectively. He closed his eyes and began.

 

~Wammanokiis with me and I am one with Wammanoki~

He breathed in.

~She is the one who guides me on the pathless traveled~

He breathed out.

~I fear nothing because she walks by myside~

He breathed in.

~Wannanoki. We have lost peopletoday. Good people, people’s whose paths finished too early~ 

He breathed out. 

 

~Wannanoki I know that they are not one of us but theywere people who had the brightness in them~

He breathed in.

~Wammanoki if you find their spirits adriftand alone would you bring them to the Grove of the Sleeping Ones where theirspirits could join with you~

He let out the breath he was holding.

“Yes Lieria.”

“Thank you Lieria. I am in my way.”

He opened his eyes and gently removed hishand. He brushed the dirt off his uniform before heading towards the turbolift.
