Stan was visiting Erin. He was relieved she liked his flowers.

Thankyou. They’re beautiful.” she replied as she took them from him and inhaled the scent. Putting them on the table next to her, she looked back at More and said, “Take a seat, Ensign.”
 
“ Thanks. Those are replicated by the way. So they should last a wee while.” He said
 
“I called you here because there’s something we need to talk about.”

Here it comes. Stan was ready for whatever scolding that was to come. He deserved it after his actions on the holodeck.
 
“ Yes.” He said.
 
“Ensign, sorry, may i call you Stan?”
 
“ If I may call you Erin.” He replied
 
“Stan, after what happened on the holodeck… I need you to listen to me when i say this.”
 
“ I am so sorry for what happened. It was all my fault. I thought if not reacting Maxine’s provocation. She would focus her attack on myself and leave you guys alone. But instead it backfired and she hurt you.” Stan said bowing his head sadly. 
 
“I don’t blame you. What happened was not your fault and should not be on your conscience. It was all her. I don’t blame you nor do i harbour any ill will to you for me being here or what happened to me.”

Stan looked up.
 
“ But you could of died because of my not thinking of the consequences. By ignoring Maxine it just inflamed her more into killing or nearly killing you. How can you forgive me for that? “ Stan said.
