Sitting opposite the captain, Sleeford felt unsure as to why he'd been
promoted. In his mind there where others more able and capable them him.

"You've earned it Paul."

"Smiling slightly, Sleeford nodded once, "Thank you sir"

"I know this career change isn't what you wanted or expected, but you've
adapted to it swimmingly. You've been an exemplary officer. I hope you know
that."

"Thank you sir, I was a little apprehensive taking on Ops, but I have a
good team behind me."

"Now then, before I send you on your way, is there anything else you'd like
to discuss. If not you're free to go."

"Captain", Sleeford stood and left the ready room, pausing as the doors
closed and took a deep breath, walking back to the Ops console he took his
seat and scanned the board. There was a request form Astronomy for use of
the large telescope to scan a nebula, Engineering wanted to take Holodeck
off line to make repairs and Security wanted to rip it apart to find out
what happened last night, there was a request from Zenobiology to use the
sensor arrays. Smiling as he allocated the resources that  had been
requested, to the various departments, using the ventral sensor platforms
for Zeno.
