EXETERRPG: (3 - 0130) Ensign Dural Methor DrPH

(USS Exeter – Sickbay – ACMO – Ensign Dural Methor DrPH – 0130)

The Commander gave a look at the tracing with a practiced eye, “Nope, repeat at 250.”

“Two hundred Fifty joules, aye.” Dural repeated the order. “Clear.” He warned as Bracken removed contact with the patient and biobed.

Another charge flopped through the security Ensign’s body as Dural pushed the discharge button.

The bed’s tone changed and Dural could make out a distinct regular series of  “P” waves from the tracing’s morphology. The biobed now showed a slightly accelerated Normal Sinus Rhythm.

“Well done.” She looked over the patient, checking his pupil response first. “Dural, can you give me his sats please? Pupils are responsive, light stimulus correct.” 

As the Commander called out her initial findings Dural called out vital signs. “BP 130 over 75, heart rate holding NSR at 83 beats per minute, hemoglobin oxygen saturation at 97%, Respirations 15 per minute. Blood glucose 87 mg/dL…

“ Ouch...... what happened to the wee elephant that was sitting on my chest? “ Stan said aloud.

His voice was weak, but the patient was opening his eyes. 

“He’s coming around.” Dural informed Dr. Bracken.

“There he is,” Dural said, “You gave us quite a scare. The defibrillator kicks like an Andorian Mule, doesn’t it?”
