It would be good to get some reading done. Plus if his request to go to science was agreed. Stan would need to brush up on his two subjects of expertise botany and biology.

"Good, take the time you need." Trip smiled. "But make sure that you make your counseling appointment and give your statement."

“ Of course sir and thank yee.” Stan said

"And unfortunately, I've got to put a reprimand in your file over the sickbay incident. It happens, and it does not need to be a career breaker. I have one in my file that I got as an Ensign JG. But its protocol, and I'm sorry."

“ Pay it nay mind sir. This was my own thought. I should of used my brains first and thought of the repercussions it was to cause on others .Perhaps it’s best I go to science. But when the time is correct you’ll let me know. At this moment I need a wee rest.” Stan said.

"You're a good kid Stan, you just need to think before leaping. Anyways. Enjoy your rest, and take care of yourself. Dismissed."

“ And you to sir.” He replied

Stan stood and shook the Captains hand. Then he left the ready room.

As Stan walked through the doors he gave his hands a clap. What to do first? BOOKS! He reached down and pulled out his kit bag. Putting in his hand he pulled out three books.

Then he tapped his comm. badge.

“ More to Commander Counsellor Corsica come in please.” He said
