(USS Exeter – Sickbay – Medical Officer, Ensign JG Heinrich Kruse, M.D. – 0134)

“Mine is a single malt.” Ewan’s comment startled Heinrich because he didn’t expect to be heard. Openly talking about drinking in a professional setting was frowned upon in Alpha 5. But clearly that wasn’t going to be a problem here. 

“I enjoy a good single malt every now and again,” Heinrich said joyfully, “But after tonight I’m thinking I’d rather something cheap to get the job done.” Though Heinrich said it like he was joking, he was not joking.

“If you want to take a break. I can keep an eye on her for the next 30 minutes?” Heinrich nodded. 

“That is fine by me, I do have a report to file. Call me if she wakes up.” Heinrich walked off to his makeshift office and got to work on his doctor’s log.
