How do you look someone in the eye, when you lived but their loved one did not?
How could he look Ravok in the eye after More failed to protect Nesha?
Stan should've found a way to save Erin and Clarke.
A voice rang out.
“MEDIC! I HAVE A PULSE!”
Stan could not clearly see who was at Erin's side. His eyes were too watery for him to focus. More shouts, more scurrying of feet. It was all a blur to him as he sat there on the floor.
Maybe it was his adrenaline dropping down now this horrific situation was over. Perhaps even grief and survivors guilt. But Stan realised that his hand hurt. In fact his whole right arm felt odd. The force field must have affected his cardiovascular system. When he punched it. Now the adrenaline that had been cushioning him was gone.
Good. He would face Clarke, Erin and Nesha in heaven. Then once he had told them how sorry he was. Stan could go to hell with Maxine. To burn forever in misery and woe.
Stan stood and began to walk towards the open holodeck door. A voice called out but he did not see who. More had just reached the doors when he slumped to the ground.
Perhaps never to walk or breathe again.
