“My heart is saying stay on the Exeter, where I’m happy, and where despite
recent events, I have friends. Here…” She motioned to the base around her,
“I’d feel like just another fighter Jock, nudging for my place. It’d feel
like a step back, and I don’t believe in those, any more than I’d go back
to flying a bathtub crop duster like I was back when I was 11.”



Trip nodded reassuringly.



“Besides. Scuttlebut has it that we have a new toy.” She smiled and winked.
“I can’t wait to have a poke about, see what makes her tick.” Trinity found
herself smiling at the thought.



"Good, because I'm afraid that Ire might crash her."


(reply Trinity) "He, listen, I know you've been through hell, and I
know....well....my door is always open."


(reply Trinity) "Lieutenant Roberts is probably more experienced and
probably has more wisdome to dispense. But, well, I mean we built this
sucker, right, the fighter wing. Forged in fire right? So I'm always
around."
