(Earth, Home of Trip and Ashlyn Williams, aCTO Ensign sg Jori, 1845)

"I have something for you. It's the ball I hit Josh with. I even
autographed it."

Smiling, she pointed to her name.

"Someone told me, in fifty years, a collector might pay a bar of latinum
for it."

Trip nodded and took the ball. He didn't want to take it as a happy memento
however, rather, it was going to be a reminder of how much he needed to do
to develop and train his officers. In a way he was embarrassed that one of
his officers had been involved in starting the brawl. He knew that there
were certain things in the unwritten rules of baseball, but he held his
crew, he held Starfleet Officers to a higher standard, and intentionally
hitting a cadet with a pitch was something he couldn't condone. But he also
wasn't going to condemn. Jori showed promise, and he wanted to help her
become the best version of herself. Besides, Trip used to sneak out at
nights to fight in cage fights back when he was a cadet. Something that
almost got him killed.

"Thank you Jori."
